Your money doesn't move
until you say so.
When you pay on CliniCycle, Stripe holds your funds in escrow — not released to the seller until you've inspected the equipment and confirmed it matches the listing.

Funds go to escrow, not the seller
When you complete checkout, Stripe captures your payment into a secure hold. The seller can see the payment is committed — but they cannot access a single dollar until you approve the transaction.
The hold stays intact through delivery
The escrow hold cannot be released while your equipment is in transit. Your 5-day inspection window opens automatically at confirmed delivery — it cannot be shortened or waived at the seller's request.
One deliberate action releases funds
Once you are satisfied with the equipment, you approve the transaction and funds reach the seller within 1–2 business days. A confirmation step prevents accidental releases. If something is wrong, you open a dispute instead — the hold stays frozen.
The same infrastructure used by millions of businesses worldwide
All payments on CliniCycle are processed and held by Stripe — the same payment infrastructure behind Shopify, Amazon, and millions of other platforms. Stripe is certified PCI DSS Level 1 [TO VERIFY], the highest available standard for payment data security.
Your card details never touch CliniCycle's servers. Stripe handles encryption, fraud detection, and secure fund holding. CliniCycle only receives the signal to hold or release — we never see your payment credentials.
Five mechanics working in your favor
- Funds are captured by Stripe at checkout but not released to the seller until you approve
- The 5-day inspection window is triggered by confirmed delivery — it cannot be shortened by the seller or CliniCycle
- A required confirmation step prevents accidental fund release
- If a dispute is opened, funds are frozen and cannot be released to either party until resolved
- If the seller misses their 3-business-day shipping deadline with no tracking submitted, the transaction is automatically cancelled and you are refunded in full
What buyers ask us most
What if I accidentally approve the transaction?
Approvals require an explicit confirmation step — a second screen asking you to confirm the release. We cannot reverse a completed fund release, which is why we require deliberate confirmation. If you are not ready to approve, close the dashboard and return when you have fully inspected the equipment.
What payment methods does CliniCycle accept?
All major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover — through Stripe. We do not currently accept wire transfers, ACH, or checks. Payments are processed in US dollars only.
Does CliniCycle store my payment information?
No. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on CliniCycle's servers. CliniCycle only receives a transaction reference ID from Stripe — we never see your card number, CVV, or billing address.
What happens to my funds if the seller goes silent after I pay?
Your funds remain in escrow regardless of what the seller does or does not do. If the seller does not submit tracking within 3 business days, the transaction is automatically cancelled and you are refunded. If the seller ships but then goes unresponsive, open a dispute — your money is not at risk.
